Choose a book, record where you are, and set a daily goal. Your progress is stored in localStorage in this browser; it is not uploaded to a user account.
If the EPUB has no fixed print pagination, the tool starts with an estimated page count and lets you replace it with the page total shown by your own reader.

The Reading Time Estimator helps you plan how much time to set aside for a book. Each title in the catalog has an estimated reading time based on its word count and a typical reading pace.
Keep in mind that these are estimates. Poetry and dense texts may take longer, while straightforward prose may be read faster. Use the estimates as a guide, not a precise prediction.

Works in the 30-90 minute range fit an evening. 'The Jingle Book' is about 65 minutes.
For a dedicated reading session, choose books over two hours. 'Elfin Music' is around 260 minutes.
The Reading Tracker helps you turn a book into a series of manageable daily steps. It records your progress in pages, not chapters or minutes, and it uses a default of 250 words per page to estimate total pages. You can adjust the total to match your own edition, and you can set a daily page goal. The tracker then estimates how many days it will take to finish.
When you start a new book, the tracker needs to know its total page count. If the catalog provides a page count, it uses that. Otherwise, it estimates the total by dividing the word count by 250. For example, Little Willie — Themes and Context has a word count of 3,392, so the estimated total is about 14 pages (3,392 / 250 = 13.57, rounded up).
If you are using a specific edition, you can replace that estimate with the exact page count from your copy. This is useful because page counts vary between editions. The tracker will then use your number for all progress calculations.
Each time you read, you update the current page. The tracker records your progress in your browser's local storage, so you can close the tab and return later without losing your place. No account is needed.
The default daily goal is 20 pages. If you are reading Little Willie, that means you could finish in one day (14 pages is less than 20). But for a longer book, like A Selection from the Lyrical Poems of Robert Herrick — Inside the Classic with about 37,827 words, the estimated total is about 152 pages. At 20 pages per day, you would finish in about 8 days (152 / 20 = 7.6, rounded up to 8).
The tracker also estimates how much time you have left. It uses the formula: estimated minutes × remaining pages / total pages. So if a book has an estimated reading time of 165 minutes and you have 100 pages left out of 152, the remaining time is about 165 × 100 / 152 ≈ 109 minutes. This can help you plan when to read.
The estimated finish days are simply the remaining pages divided by your daily goal, rounded up. If you have 100 pages left and a goal of 20 pages per day, you will finish in 5 days. Adjusting your daily goal changes this estimate, so you can experiment to find a pace that fits your schedule.
